Magazine “Word for Life”

The “Život” Association is the founder and publisher of the first and only magazine dedicated to rare diseases in the Balkans, “Word for Life”, which has been published since 2015. Its goal is to reach medical professionals, doctors, patients, patient associations, relevant institutions, and the general public.
The magazine is available in both print and digital formats and is distributed to all relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Health, the Republic Health Insurance Fund, the Serbian Medical Chamber, Institutes of Public Health, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and laboratories, as well as patient associations, schools, and educational institutions throughout the Balkans, and to parents and families of sick children.
The print circulation is 5,000 copies, but over time it has become clear that this number is insufficient.
The magazine “Word for Life” received the prestigious European award “Black Pearl Award 2018” from the European Organisation for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS).
This award belongs to Zoja and to all children living with illnesses, who have made all of us better people.
